Objectives: Grouping  and diamgramming with polyatomic ions
Announcements:
I'm gone tomorrow.  Substitute is an expert chemistry teacher.

Warm-up: How many total electrons does a nitrogen atom have?  How many valence electrons?  What is the charge of a nitrogen ion?  How many electrons will a nitrogen ion have?
"Blue Packet"
How (or why) is PO4 a PAI with 3- charge?
Homework:  Select 5 different polyatomic ions and diagram them in color (at least 1 has to be 1-, one that's 2- and at least 1 that's 3-).  Select 5 metals from columns 6-11 on the periodic table.  Choose a charge for each and make 2 compounds with each by combining them with the polyatomic ions you selected and diagrammed.
Due tomorrow (the substitute will collect them)
